More Information

How did the implementation advance the department's or division's involved, as well as the institution?

One of the primary reasons to hold the HMS orientation was to alert students to the many bureaucratic tasks necessary before field placement internship could begin.  The orientation encouraged students to contact our internship coordinator early, well before the fall 2013 semester began.

Petra Wege-Beers, internship coordinator, and Doug Sanders, Field Placement instructor, reported that they had fewer students scrambling to establish an internship location at the beginning of the semester.
