Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	This will provide a face for Newburgh and someone to help with advising, planning and recruiting for students there. This position will report to the Honors Director and could have a load redefinition of three credits per semester. If we cannot provide faculty coordinators, create a dedicated honors advisor (in conjunction with Advising and Counseling).
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Newburgh honors will continue to flag. Without someone on site who can assist students, advise, do programming, etc., we cannot successfully recruit or retain students in Newburgh. Current coordinator will continue to be overwhelmed and work beyond the scope of the contract. Having her in Newburgh only once or twice a month does not meet the needs of students there. Retention will suffer as students do not feel welcome or as if they have special connections with program administrators. Advising will be less than it could be. Planning and projects will remain minimal.
