Develop the Engineering student resource room

Initiative TitleDevelop the Engineering student resource room
Submitted in Previous Year(s)No
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale

Student study space is a crucial aspect to surviving the rigors of the engineering program. Student drop-out rte nationally hover around 50% for freshman engineers. We typically fare better than that at about 40%. This has been attributed to the group learning environment fostered in part to having an open study/gathering space for students

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

The students will not have a study space available and it is likely that the drop rate will increase.
