Initiative Title | ePortfolio Pilot Project |
Submitted in Previous Year(s) | No |
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | The use of ePortfolios to assess student learning, document a progression of academic and professional improvement, and serve as a platform for reflection are just some of the many benefits to its use. Several college governance committees and constituencies have investigated and identified potential ePortfolio platforms and best practices available for both students and faculty. The next step in realizing the full potential of ePortfolios and their benefits is a structured and cross-disciplinary pilot project. |
Consequences of this initiative not being funded | The college has created significant momentum towards the use of ePortfolios through various workshops, governance committees, and key stakeholders. The benefit of ePortfolios are far-reaching and provide a platform for SUNY Orange students to literally see their academic and personal growth, as well as provide a tool for the college to assess student learning year after year. |
