Global Initiative seeks to expand students' horizons, bring academic departments together in collaboration and infuse a global perspective on its curriculum.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Students, Staff, Faculty and Community members would lose a vital enrichment opportunity to consider and explore critical international social, political, and economic issues and events.

COLLEGE GOALS as of 2011 1. To provide high quality academic courses and programs that prepare a diverse student population to achieve its educational, employment and enrichment goals.	Global Initiative offers various opportunities to gain better understanding the of the world and world events that impact all of us. Equally, it provides an opportunity for students to gain appreciation for diversity--something that will help them in their current and future endeavors.
COLLEGE GOALS as of 2011 5. To offer opportunities to learn with a dedicated and diverse faculty and staff who value excellence in teaching, service to students, creative collaboration and continuous improvement.	Global Initiative is founded on the idea of collaboration among and between faculty, staff, and students, on broad range of issues. It is also built on encouraging faculty and staff to dig deeper into topics and subjects, as well as the goal of providing an important educational service to the college and students.
ACADEMIC MASTER PLAN 2016-2020 Programming Objective #2: Collaborate across all areas of the College to ensure relevant support for academic programming and a comprehensive, diverse student experience.	Global Initiative is infused in the curriculum and provides speakers and events and from various areas and departments of the College; provides programming that can speak to the diversity of students and enhance the appreciation of diversity among our students.
