LED House Lighting Retrofit

Initiative TitleLED House Lighting Retrofit
Submitted in Previous Year(s)2024
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale

Replace the theater's house lighting with LED.  The theater still uses 100watt incandescent bulbs.  Due to the federal government mandate, passed in 2007 and which finally took effect in August 2023, incandescent bulbs can no longer be used and are illegal to manufacture. The center section of the house lights was retrofitted in 2024 and the difference in both appearance and safety is remarkable.  But that was only 33% of the system.  The theater needs to update the remainder of the house system as there are no more replacement  bulbs available.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Insufficient lighting will create hazardous conditions in the theater.
