| Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | The library would like to take an active role in promoting collaboration with SUNY Orange faculty, staff, and students to advance the greater good of the Newburgh community. The SUNY Orange Newburgh Library currently has an agreement with Newburgh Free Library, Mount Saint Mary College, and Newburgh Free Academy to enhance access to library materials. We would like to continue to reach out to these educational and community organizations as well as others in the Newburgh area to create shared learning experiences and events to benefit the students of all ages and the Newburgh community. Some ideas might be to have a middle school and community college student pen pal program, a joint Earth Day/grade school science fair program, and/or a co-sponsored guest author event in addition to many other future plans. |
| Consequences of this initiative not being funded | The Library would not be a contributing member of the college and greater Newburgh community. We have alot to offer to both. |
