Bring a national speaker to campus in order to support best practices and movement towards wider course level assessment practices

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Course-level assessment has been a widely communicated area of need an emphasis for the upcoming academic year. A national speaker who has demonstrated expertise on this topic brings a heightened and invigorated approach to implementing the most effective and valuable methods for reaching our goals. It sets the tone for moving forward in this direction.

Course level assessment is at the heart of the institution's academic integrity and must be encouraged and continually discussed on all institutional levels in order to best support current and future SUNY Orange students.
This initiative is in direct alignment with our Middle States accreditation standards and demonstrates a continued, yet expanded emphasis in improving our course level assessment processes and activities.
