It will be important to develop a formal plan and process to recruit BOCES adult education students who may be interested in additional education and training in the College.  Students graduating from BOCES HSE and vocational programs will likely need additional training and / or a pathway to a College degree.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Fewer students will fully realize their career goals and the number of BOCES graduates coming to the College will not increase without this effort.

Institutional Goals

This is a non-credit activity that falls under Standard 13 of Middle States
Through cooperation between credit and noncredit departments this outreach will enhance the College's visibility
Academic planning and advising will be essential to establishment of a pipeline designed to recruit additional students
This effort will increase the collaboration between OU BOCEs and the College resulting in an increase in enrollment.
