Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	The skeletal remains of the mastodon represent a significant Orange County archeologic finding and represent/symbolize the Biology Program at Orange. The skeleton is in some state of disrepair and needs conservation related work, as identified by a previous professional assessment.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	No immediate consequences re stability of the specimen, but its value as a hallmark of prehistoric times is tarnished and does not serve as a most effective symbol of our College and program.
