Initiative Title | Provide academic programs support for their external review/reviewers, as required in conducting a Program Review. |
Submitted in Previous Year(s) | No |
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | All academic programs, non-accredited, are on a six year cycle of program review. Each AY assessment activities support the culmination of a Final Report, including hosting an external review. An external review continues to be a required component as requested by SUNY. It is imperative that programs have this opportunity to collect valuable information from experts; to facilitate this, an honorarium is to be awarded per each program review. |
Consequences of this initiative not being funded | The program review process is essential in academic departments having the information and data by which they make necessary changes for improvement in teaching and learning. Having an external review's recommendations are valuable to each program in ensuring that students continue to be able to learn in a conducive and supportive environment. |
