ESL students registering together as a class during a dedicated registration time helps retention, thus making it possible for students to progress.

HSE classes that are located off-campus, need a dedicated registration process in their location.

This can be accomplished when Enrollment Specialist's can provide registration services during ESL and HSE class times.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Reduction of CAPE enrollment.

Providing a dedicated time to register ESL students from semester to semester will help retain students who want to continue studying ESL and get the help they need to register. Student retention in the ESL program will help propel students to attain higher levels of English to possibly enter the college at some point.
