| Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | It is envisioned that the core curriculum of this program would incorporate courses currently serving as required prerequisites for admissions to professional programs in the " Health Professions ". As many more students are in pre-professional studies than can be admitted to limited professional programs at SUNY Orange this curriculum would prepare students for alternate transfer opportunities leading to a bachelor degree in a related professional field with strong employment opportunity. This program would be developed within the Hudson Valley Educational Consortium of which Suny Orange is a member and would have transfer articulation with other SUNY schools ( i.e., Albany ). |

Establishment of this curriculum would provide fresh opportunities for students interested in careers in health-related areas and address regional needs for qualified professionals in Public Health. From an enrollment management perspective, it affords students an alternative career path apart from our traditional Health Professions Programs. |
