Most of the operator stools are functional and need minor repairs(parts are still available). A few of the operator stools are not able to be repaired and need to be replaced so that there are enough for all students. It is possible that equipment may be required with changes to mandated procedures for Infection Control(waterlines) and instrument processing.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Not enough for all students to use at the same time. Availability of state of the art design for students to use and have access to in case of special needs. Anticipated changes for Infection Control procedures and mandates.

Department GoalsTo replace clinical equipment that would be considered a capital item and could not be purchased from the instructional line- specifically operator stools and sterilization equipment. Lockers for the locker room would also fit this goal

Operator stools for clinicians are absolutely necessary to provide dental hygiene services to patients and are a major piece of equipment in the learning process. Ergonomically sound equipment for student safety is imperative.
