Initiative Title | Technology Seminar Series |
Submitted in Previous Year(s) | 2018 |
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | Would like to initiate 1-2 seminars per academic year highlighting computer and technology topics not routinely discussed in any of our courses or programs. The vision is to utilize external subject matter experts on various "hot" topics for a 60 minute presentation open to all members of the college community. CST Majors would be strongly encouraged to attend these valuable opportunities. Timing of these presentations is still undecided but would be designed to not conflict with classes and, of course, accommodate the speakers' schedule. |
Consequences of this initiative not being funded | The inability to present these seminars will not negatively affect the curriculum, but it will diminish our desire to provide students with the most timely and comprehensive industry events and trends as possible. |
Department Goals | Continue to provide a high-quality educational experience for our students while improving content and delivery. |
