Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	There are currently only two vent hoods in the organic chemistry lab RCSE 226. One is used for chemical storage the other is used by students when working with chemicals. The problem is that there are up to 18 students trying to use that single vent hood at the same time (not possible). Each student workspace (lab table) should have a dedicated vent hood. If we add 5 vent hoods to the room then the students could work in groups of 3 at each station. This is much safer and practical. This is a problem for the organic chemistry room since that course uses much stronger chemicals than our other classes. This is also why there is a dedicated organic lab room.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	It is not safe to use a single vent hood for 18 students.
