  • Conduct training sessions for staff on the use of the new on-line purchase requsition system.
  • Create a new report to summarize grant activity (both revenue and expense) to monitor grant balances easily eliminiating the individual review of each grant. This report will provide a snapshot of each grant.
  • Create a general grant information packet for each grant director. Some of the things to include would be processes, who is responsible for what, who to go to if you have certain questions, as well as other helpful hints.
  • Prepare a grant writer check list. This checklist would be a reminder of all the important information needed to  create a new grant and to get new grants up and running effectively.
  • Prepare a comprehensive travel/conference policy for use by all college employees. 
  • Find additional ways to cut costs by reviewing current contracts, preparing bids and RFP's, and partnering with other entities such as the county and the HVEC consortium. 
  • Maintain the functionality of the Banner Accounting system by testing software patches.
  • Create transparency and accountability by sharing on the (s) drive with dpeartments a listing of contract services to aid in timely renewals.
  • Investigate the use of a fixed asset software system.
  • Test and implement new budget report to aid budget changes.
