            The national standards for Radiologic Technology are in the process of being revised.  The profession is making a major educational transition from the remnants of film to digital imaging.  The program needs to update equipment and activities to support that transition.

Department Goals

Specific things the department wishes to achieve or accomplish this academic year.

1 Acquire Pulse Oximetry machine to meet new ARRT clinical competency requirements
2 Replace Chair computer
3 Replace Faculty computer
4 Enhance teaching/learning of the radiography of the skull by acquiring 3B Beauchene Human Skull model - #247007 Skull, color coded – Carolina Science ($625.00)
5 Enhance teaching/learning of the radiography of Thoracic & Abdominal regionals by acquiring plastic Human Torso - #566609 – Carolina Science ($575.00)
6 Repair PIXY Phantom ($1,920.00)
7 Enhance Clinical Instructors’ expertise by conducting yearly in-service education seminar
8 Enhance radiologic technology curriculum by conducting department-wide conversation to investigate potential curriculum changes in harmony with new national standards.
