The Office of Educational Partnerships advances SUNY Orange’s mission by creating seamless pathways from high school to college, strengthening transfer opportunities, and supporting student success across multiple outreach programs. For Academic Year 2025–2026, the Office will focus on improving operational efficiency, enhancing student readiness, and expanding the use of college systems to promote clearer academic planning and smoother transitions into higher education.
Community College in the High School (CCHS)
CCHS remains one of the College’s most significant enrollment pipelines. Key initiatives for 2025–2026 include:
-
Continued refinement of Kuali Build for student registration.
-
Expanded required use of MySUNYOrange for students to view schedules, verify current registrations, monitor credit totals, and pay balances.
- Communication with parents and students in Fall to remind them of Spring registration.
-
A spring initiative to introduce students to transcript requests, SUNY Orange academic pathways, and articulation options.
-
Expansion of DegreeWorks access to CCHS students to support early degree planning.
-
Preparation to offer early academic advising and financial aid information for students intending to matriculate.
Secondary Articulation Agreements
The Office will complete a comprehensive review of all high school and BOCES articulation agreements to ensure alignment with SUNY’s revised General Education Framework. A shared Google Drive repository will be maintained for faculty access, and the articulation webpages will be redesigned for greater clarity and usability.
Four-Year Transfer Agreements
All transfer agreements with partner colleges will undergo review to ensure accurate alignment with SUNY Orange curriculum changes. The transfer webpage will be retooled to make pathways more transparent for students, including clearer explanations of guaranteed admissions and course equivalencies.
Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)
CPL is nearing full implementation and will expand opportunities for adult and non-traditional learners. AY 2025–2026 priorities include finalizing CPL policy documentation, developing student and faculty-facing materials, and launching a pilot advising initiative in selected academic programs.
P-TECH and Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP)
The Office will continue oversight of P-TECH operations, supporting the Career Coach and enhancing academic and career-readiness programming. LPP will maintain compliance with SUNY and NYSED requirements while strengthening district partnerships to improve persistence, graduation, and college enrollment outcomes.
Institutional Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
Efforts will focus on strengthening partnerships with Enrollment Management, Registrar, IT, and Academic Affairs, resolving recurring registration issues, and ensuring Educational Partnerships’ needs are integrated into IT recovery planning. Updated dashboards will track program metrics, articulation cycles, and tuition collection.
Summary
The initiatives outlined for AY 2025–2026 reinforce SUNY Orange’s commitment to access, persistence, and student success. By enhancing registration systems, improving pathway transparency, implementing CPL, and strengthening partnerships with schools and community organizations, the Office of Educational Partnerships will continue to provide efficient, student-centered programs that support seamless educational transitions and accelerate progress toward academic and career goals.
