Department Goals:

1. To develop better connections between the Global Studies departments at the Middletown and Newburgh campuses, insuring good communication and contact among them.

2. To increase the number of majors in the International Studies degree program and to effectively track the graduates when they successfully complete the degree.

3. Review, revise and update Student Learning Outcomes for all courses regularly taught by faculty in the department, and determine appropriate ways to assess the SLOs.

4. Revise descriptions of courses in the official College Catalog so they are up to date and best capture what is currently taught in those courses.

5. Continue to develop new foreign language offerings as the foundation of Global Studies, specifically Arabic language studies.
