The Department of Global Studies seeks to replace the aged and failing desks in the Gilman Center. 

The Gilman Center is the showcase auditorium and classroom for the college. In addition to classes for students the Gilman Center is host to cultural affairs events, college wide meetings, board meetings, and meetings for important outside constituents. If a few more tables are rendered unusable there will be too few to seat a class of 25 students.
