2020 - 2021 Newburgh Campus Plan

A general statement (narrative) about what the department wants to accomplish.

The Newburgh Campus provides education access to one of the fastest-growing and diverse sectors of Orange County. This location provides an opportunity for SUNY Orange to contribute to the revitalization and development of the immediate community as well the eastern sector of Orange County.

As we prepare to build on our history as a change agent in Newburgh and eastern Orange County, we must also be sure to consider the status of the student, staff, and faculty experience. With that in mind, the Chief Executive identified three areas of focus—communication, cleanliness, and enrollment. In considering these areas we hope to transform the Newburgh campus experience.

Along with the three areas of focus, the Newburgh campus will continue to respond to the needs of the campus as new opportunities, initiatives and programs come to Newburgh.

1	In collaboration with Vice President for Institutional Advancement develop a community outreach plan that will positively impact Newburgh campus enrollment
2	Continue to collaborate with Student Services departments to provide opportunities of engagement with groups and organizations that serve prospective students including those from diverse and underserved backgrounds.
3	Collaborate with Information Technology department to address Newburgh campus technology needs
4	Support student retention on the Newburgh campus
