Currently, the Department is awaiting the final approval through the NYSED to implement changes in the Program’s general education requirements and Admission’s requirements to meet the SUNY Seamless Transfer Initiative. Once the final approval is received the program plans to implement these changes in a timely but organized fashion.  In addition to curricular changes, the program remains vested in the pursuit of progressive assessment activities, obtain funding and purchase of equipment to maintain accreditation standards, promote the development and use of the Blackboard Learning Management System, establish connections to adjacent universities in the form of articulation agreements and provide educational opportunities to the surrounding therapeutic community.
