1. Develop and submit transfer paths appropriate to the department

Initiative Title1. Develop and submit transfer paths appropriate to the department
Submitted in Previous Year(s)2017
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale

Actual transfer paths (degrees) might allow more students to connect to the IDS and HUM courses, thereby increasing enrollment and retention.

The transfer paths in development are topics that are growing nationally and relevant to an ever-more global world.  Allowing students to pursue some of these earlier in the educational careers might allow them to engage in material earlier or even show others the possibilities that exist with their interests.

Additionally, all of the paths are concerned with recognizing, celebrating and expanding diversity and problem solving related to it.  This is increasingly important on national and international levels.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Students may feel that current courses are disconnected from their educational purposes.

Additionally, the identified pathways in development would allow some students areas of study not currently offered or perhaps even considered.

Contributions to awareness of the positives of a diverse nation and population is a vital necessary to increaseding tolerance and peace.
