Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	As we expand our chemistry offerings to NEC it is important that we have a full time presence there. It is imperative that the department secure a full time instructor to maintain the high level of excellence and safety that we demand in our chemistry classes. Chemistry at NEC is a key requirement for the nursing and med lab tech programs.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	The classes will be covered by adjunct faculty. It is difficult to find quality part-time teachers with the appropriate level of chemistry experience and dedication. Maintenance, safety, and upkeep of the lab space is difficult with part-time coverage.
