FoodTEC is dedicated to advancing economic mobility through food and beverage, hospitality, and tourism workforce training. Through Community Project Funding, FoodTEC is able to offer workforce development programs that are designed to assist economically disadvantaged job seekers and workers in Orange County and the Mid-Hudson region.

FoodTEC's workforce development programs are grant-funded and designed to assist economically disadvantaged job seekers and workers in obtaining and advancing in jobs that provide sustaining wages and benefits, primarily in the food, beverage, and hospitality sectors.
The programs offer eligible students 100% tuition assistance and wrap-around services like childcare and transportation. To be eligible, students must live in the mid-Hudson region, make less than 25 dollars per hour, or be unemployed. The programs have a built-in 4-week paid-on-the-job training component to the curriculums. Students can earn minimum wage while training up to 60 hours in four weeks at participating food service establishments in the mid-Hudson region. |
