Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale

This will provide additional advising, assessment, planning and recruiting help for Middletown and Newburgh.  This position will report to the Honors Director and could have a load redefinition of three to six credits per semester or even 9 credits split between two semesters.

Position would assist with providing an honors "face" in Newburgh and reduce the load on the current coordinator to manage everything.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Current coordinator will continue to be overwhelmed and work beyond the scope of the contract.

Retention will suffer as students do not feel welcome or as if they have special connections with program administrators.

Advising will be less than it could be. Planning and projects will remain minimal.
