| Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | Digisite technology is a microscope-based system in which digitalized imaging of the material can be presented on a screen, channeled through a powerpoint projector or sent via wireless modality to student computer stations/laptops. Such a system would allow an instructor to review specimen structure with all students in the lab simultaneously. It also allows editing/labeling of the image for optimal presentation. Images can be preserved or transferred to hard drives, discs, etc. for storage and archival purposes. This would be particularly useful in A & P laboratories where cell structure and histology are of critical interest. |

| Consequences of this initiative not being funded | It would be more difficult for the instructor to communicate detail of specimen structure to students in a one on one format. The useful images could not be saved and archived for later review. Experience tells us that is understanding cell struct and histology is one of the most difficult aspects in the Anatomy & Physiology courses. |
