Administer the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) in Spring 2021

Initiative TitleAdminister the Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) in Spring 2021
Submitted in Previous Year(s)No
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale

The administration of the CCSSE in Spring 2012 would mark the fourth time SUNY Orange will benefit from the survey findings/results.  The survey is administered both nationally as well as through a SUNY consortium.  The instrument is administered to a representative yet random sample of the students enrolled at SUNY Orange.  Students have the opportunity to respond and share their experiences and level of satisfaction about services as well as academic offerings. The results of the survey have been disseminated college-wide for use on a wide array of initiatives and projects.  Most recently the results of the survey have been used for evaluation of the Title III grant.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

If the survey is not administered, the College will lose the consistent data gathered from students at ongoing intervals.  Without feedback from students, it is extremely difficult for the institution to have the information it needs to improve programs and supports that service students.
