Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	This proposal is to develop a suitable venue for use in conjunction with the Botanical Center now under development. It would provide an outdoor, informal venue for various presentations relating to the Center as well as other College / Community events. It is anticipated that this venue would be cited on the hillside immediately West of the Greenhouses and Formal Gardens and occupy some of the area now used as a Playground for Kindercollege ( They will be vacating this area as a new facility is developed.) This area, once transformed, would not only offer unique instructional space, it would provide harmony to the Campus linking the Botanical Center and Formal Gardens with the new Science/Engineering Building currently in the planning stage.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Under utilization of campus space and loss of a cohesive campus landscape. ( I think this would be a much sought after space for many presentations/ outdoor classes etc.)
