Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	With the opening of Kaplan Hall and associated tutorial-learning assistance areas the Biology Department seeks to augment its collection of anatomic models, charts, DVDs, and microscopic specimens to support self-directed as well as assisted learning in our area of this facility which we refer to as " Batcavern 2 ". This is particularily important as Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2 Courses will be offered for the first time at Newburgh beginning in Spring 2011 in support of the Nursing Program.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Lack of optimal learning assistance support for students taking Introduction to Biolgy, Anatomy & Physiology 1& 2 and / or Diversity of Life at Newburgh.

Level 2 (Business Math Science and Technology, AVP Office)

It is anticipated that most Newburgh Batcavern needs will be covered in capital purchases in AY 2010/2011. This is being ranked highly in case all needs are not met in 2010/2011.

Level 4 (PBIE Committee)

Creating a fully functional Batcavern 2 in Newburgh would enable the same experiential learning reinforcement that the popular Batcavern in Middletown currently allows. In addition to equalizing educational opportunities experienced at both campuses, the Batcavern 2 at Newburgh would increase the enrollment of students in Newburgh who appreciate the academic support the Batcavern offers to students in the sciences and health professions.
