Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | Accessible and accurate data is essential to operations and decisions. In recent times, there have been programming positions vacated due to retirement...with limited ability to fill. A resource shortage - in both history and expertise is an ongoing challenge. Moving forward, it is more important for IPAR and ITS to collaborate further on Cognos related efforts/activities, particularly the visualization of information across all areas of the College. |

Being able to more effectively utilize the capabilities of Cognos will improve processes as well as communication. By collaborating with ITS, we are able to provide data to end users in a most accessible way. This is essential for decision makers to have the information needed to improve processes and policies, ultimately to enhance the experience of students at the College. |

It is the intention of this initiative to be able to house and display measures useful and necessary to college-stakeholders. These measures are largely described as institutional effectiveness measures and/or key performance indicators. By collaborating with ITS, the initiative seeks to understand and utilize all of the functionality of our College's reporting tool in order to support the process of planning, budgeting and effectiveness. |
