Initiative Title | Continue to develop and offer training programs for the Healthcare industry, partnering with them and possibly unions representing their workers. |
Submitted in Previous Year(s) | No |
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | Our existing programs, developed in response to training needs expressed by CEOs and HR officers in Healthcare organizations, have been very successful and have resulted in long term relationships with several large organizations in this industry.
Continuing to partner with these organizations gives the college the opportunity to develop new and timely programming for healthcare workers. |
Consequences of this initiative not being funded | The college is already in partnership with many healthcare organizations through our academic health profession departments. CAPE's offering of additional training and/or certification programs strengthens these partnerships, and offers professional development and advancement potential to healthcare workers. Successful CAPE programs lead to enhanced productivity and profitability for client organizations which in turn benefits the workers, the organization, the industry, the college, and the local economy. |
Department Goals | Demonstrate financial self-sufficiency and increase the College's resources and capacity, Increase educational opportunities available through CAPE, Build strong partnerships and collaborations with external organizations |
