Coordinate and collaborate with ITS to implement and integrate new data tools

Initiative TitleCoordinate and collaborate with ITS to implement and integrate new data tools
Submitted in Previous Year(s)No
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale

The implementation of a new reporting tool, data lake, and the integration of artificial intelligence is essential to meet the growing demands for data-driven decision-making at SUNY Orange. As the college navigates its strategic priorities, having centralized, accessible, and accurate data will empower staff and leadership to make informed decisions that directly impact student success, resource allocation, and institutional effectiveness. By investing in these technologies, the college can streamline reporting processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

If SUNY Orange does not implement a new reporting tool, data lake, and AI-driven analytics, the college risks falling behind in its ability to make data-informed decisions that are critical to student success and operational efficiency. Without these tools, staff may continue to struggle with siloed and outdated data, leading to inefficiencies in reporting and analysis.

Department GoalsEnhance data accessibility and decision-making at SUNY Orange by optimizing a new reporting tool and data lake, alongside leveraging AI to meet the college’s evolving data needs.
