Prioritization Notes

Level 4 (PBIE Committee)

The creation of an administrative position to oversee implementation of the sustainability initiative is a key initiative to the long-term health of the college community. Green business practices contribute to the social and economic well-being of our community. This initiative links with the college’s strategic plan, academic master plan and middle state accreditation. This initiative affects the total campus environment and its members. It is crucial to be vigilant and responsible about expenditure of today’s resources. The sustainability committee has made great strides and needs an individual to manage the projects and coordinate implementation. The sustainability initiatives are beyond the scope of an ad hoc or separate governance committee and needs daily follow-up and management. With budgetary constraints, it is important to focus on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle, and return the use of our natural resources to within sustainable limits.
