Participating in such a session will review for all department members the stated entrance minima and SLO'ss of Freshman English 1 while also completing our 101 General Education assessment begun in Spring 2014

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

A possible lack of consistency and understanding of grading criteria and no lack of discussion of current standards

Department GoalsImprove current and create new tools of assessment for Freshman English 1 to consider the possibilities of exit testing, portfolio grading, and assignment design to more concretely measure student mastery of current Student Learning Objectives.
