Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	To promote faculty development and build collegial ties with colleagues at other two-year colleges in the area. This initiative would allow active participation of SUNY Orange Biology faculty in regular meetings and workshops of this organization. It would allow sharing of instructional methodology, technique and experience with our colleagues and could lead to cooperative interactions vis a vis research projects benefitting our faculty and students.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Restricted interaction with colleagues, reduced opportunity for active participation in professional development activities bringing benefits to the classroom and the lab.

COLLEGE VIII: To offer students the opportunity to learn with a diverse and highly qualified faculty and staff committed to excellence in teaching and service to students. 1: To provide opportunities for faculty to retrain to meet college and personal needs.
COLLEGE VIII: To offer students the opportunity to learn with a diverse and highly qualified faculty and staff committed to excellence in teaching and service to students. 3: To maintain and develop full-time faculty and staff and recruit diverse candidates for vacant positions in order to serve the educational needs of students.
AMP F: Professional Development b: Support sabbaticals, licensure and CEU’s, and attendance at national, regional and state conferences to stay abreast of current trends and to acquire new knowledge
AMP H: Collaboration and Partnerships a: Seek out new opportunities for collaboration and programming such as the Hudson Valley Consortium for Domestic Preparedness, Response and Recovery
