Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	Position supports laboratories for Biology (Intro to Biology, A & P I, II, Diversity of Life) and Laboratory Technology (Microbiology), as well as, Criminal Justice and Science and Engineering. Position entails setting up laboratories, preparation of reagents, media, as well as, ordering supplies and participation in the budget process.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Managing purchases of equipment and supplies, preparation of reagents and set-up of laboratories is critical in laboratory-based courses. Without full-time technical help the Biology and Lab Tech Departments, as well as the other departments identified, would not be able to offer the diversity of courses as scheduled.

Implementation of the Academic Master Plan will be supported by a Facilities Plan, a Technology Plan, a Resource Development Plan and an Enrollment Management Plan.	This initiative is required to successfully allow courses such as Anatomy & Physiology ,Microbiology, etc. to be taught at Newburgh. These courses are gateways to Nursing and other Health Professions Programs.
