PBIE ranking 2. Grant Writer ($45,000/$45,000) In light of the difficult economic conditions and the troubling forecast for the next several years, the Grant Writer position received a high ranking from PBIE. Here is an initiative which should not only pay for itself several times over in the course of any given year, but also supports the college mission and vision through the enhancement of the quality of education and new opportunities offered to our students and community-- made available only through the mining of grant funding sources, (including some which currently are unknown, unrealized and/or untapped). The benefits of an additional full-time Grant Writer to help the college community locate existing and new funding sources; interpret grant guidelines; assist in the writing of viable proposals and the establishing of critical timelines; and offering all around guidance and assistance in a highly competitive and extremely concise environment; is hard to overstate. Such a position should help the college remain as a viable and leading educational institution in Orange County and the surrounding area for the foreseeable future and therefore is seen as a crucial position to fund.
