Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale

We are looking to hire a Full-Time Public Health assistant, who can also help with administrative work. This person would be responsible for cultivating community partnerships, organizing events, and creating collaborations. This person would have a background in Public Health Administration and would be familiar with all local government health agencies, including the NYS Department of Health, the NYS Office of Mental Health, and the NYS Office of People with Developmental Disabilities. They will also be working with local programs such as Catholic Charities, the United Way, ADAC, ACESS-VR, Hudson Valley Community Services, Catskill Area Health Education Center, and Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Events that this person would organize would include blood drives, flu clinics, COVID booster clinics, health fairs, tabling sessions, webinars, in-person trainings, and other educational programs. When not working on community health partnerships and organizing events, the Public Health Assistant would assist our Nursing and Administrative staff with tracking immunization records and corresponding with students.
