Students in the Human Services AS degree are required to complete internships with two different human services agencies to graduate. A central point person in this position is essential to continue offering quality learning opportunities to our students. Currently, this position is being supported on a grant that expires at the end of AY 2019-2020. The position should be institutionalized to continue providing student support and community outreach. 

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Quality of student support will decrease dramatically. Additionally, the college risks losing important connections to outside agencies.
