Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	Cannatrol Cool Cure (Dryer) is requested in support of the Horticulture Initiative that our Department and SUNY Orange (in conjunction with 5 other SUNY Colleges) are developing. This specialized drying equipment will allow critical drying and extraction of CBD compounds from cultivated flowers to produce a resin mixture for further isolation of specific substances. It will also give students hands-on operation expertise in this phase of biochemical precessing. Resin produced will be further purified in chemistry 150.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Without the equipment, drying will be done in a less controlled environment, require longer time periods and possible biodegradation/oxidation of cannaboid derivatives.
