Critical Information, Notes, Justification, RationaleAdvising for students, in terms of general and semester specific is inadequate to the program's growth. Currently, one person does all advising, regardless of the number of students and the student's major. Additional advisors within different majors would allow students to be advised in a more efficient manner and with information more directed to their eventual careers or transfer choices. At least one additional advisor is needed: the costs could be coveredin course redfinition of six credits per semester.
Consequences of this initiative not being fundedStudents will continue to wait a long time for an appointment. Current advisor (Honors Program Coordinator) is overburdened, Students lack information specific to eventual careers or majors.

Having additional advisors would improve students' opportunities to meet with an advisor when needed and have the advisor be conversant with details specific to their major or career choice, thus making their improving decison-making ability.
