Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	Business faculty need to remain current in technologies, business issues and practices and educational delivery systems. To date, they are allowed $150 per year for professional development. Each year this amount is insufficient for them to attend a national conference. We seek approval to offer $3000 each year for faculty members, on a rotating basis to attend a national or regional conferences and share their expertise upon return. These conferences would likely be sponsored by ACBSP, NBEA, EBEA, Leauge for Innovation, CIT.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Lack of credentialed faculty.

COLLEGE VIII: To offer students the opportunity to learn with a diverse and highly qualified faculty and staff committed to excellence in teaching and service to students. 2: To continue to provide equipment, software and training in the use of technology in order to expand the competence of the faculty and staff of the College.
MIDDLESTATES Standard 5: Administration b: The team recommends that the college institute a program of regular professional development for College staff.
STRATEGIC I: Develop and implement an Academic Master Plan that guides the renewal of current programs and services, the development of new programs and services, and formulizes the allocation of resources effectively.
AMP F: Professional Development b: Support sabbaticals, licensure and CEU’s, and attendance at national, regional and state conferences to stay abreast of current trends and to acquire new knowledge
