Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	During Fall 2024, the opportunity to excavate a mastodon developed and we are excited to pursue this as a version of ANT 104 in Summer 2025. Depending on the outcome of that field season, subsequent work may be warranted. This project connects with Orange County's unique natural history and provides students once in a lifetime experiential learning.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	A massive missed opportunity.
