---|---|
Submitted in Previous Year(s) | 2011-2012 |
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale | Currently three faculty vacancies, mentoring fosters career development and job satisfaction, while enhancing retention and recruitment of educators by building a better work environment. The nursing departmnet faces a significant challenge of replacing an aging faculty, while competing with higher salaries paid to nurses outside of academia and at Orange County Community College. |
Consequences of this initiative not being funded | Program quality will be negatively impacted and integrity of the curriculum adversely effected. NCLEX scores will drop below state average and could result in program closure. Continued high attrition rates in the nursing department. |
