Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	Partnering with ITS is considered to be a wise and strategic path forward. Working in conjunction with SUNY Orange's ITS department, the plan is to integrate this data storage component with two currently unused ITS physical servers to create the functional VDS. This is a fortunate arrangement that is significantly reducing the overall cost of implementing the VDS.
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	This platform is an essential facility to support many of the courses included in the proposed new Web Development A.A.S. degree.

ACADEMIC MASTER PLAN 2016-2020 Programming Objective #1: Offer valuable academic programming by maintaining relevance and timeliness of programming throughout the college.	This initiative provides the foundational piece for the Virtualization Development Server that we must have to teach many of our courses including multiple courses included within our new Web Development A.A.S. degree. This platform will provide students with the necessary environment to understand virtualization techniques and cloud-based management processes.
