Re-design Cyber Security Degree Program and Course CIT 100 Computer Literacy

Initiative TitleRe-design Cyber Security Degree Program and Course CIT 100 Computer Literacy
Submitted in Previous Year(s)No
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale

This program was re-evaluated and major changes recommended back in 2017.  Administration blocked these changes. Program has grown stale and unaligned since then.

In AY 23/24 the Department was forced to re-design this program to meet new Ged Ed requirements.  While some effort was made to re-align the program with industry needs, most of the effort involved just satisfying Gen Ed changes.

Consequences of this initiative not being funded

Continued decrease in value and relevancy of this degree.
