Recruiting

Initiative TitleRecruiting
Submitted in Previous Year(s)No
Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale1. To move recruiting of new students to Admissions rather than it remaining the perview of the Honors Program Coordinator to identify and recruit incoming freshman 2. To increase the numbers of students enrolled in the program by recruiting: -- increased numbers of incoming freshmen -- increased numbers of students already here
Consequences of this initiative not being funded1. Burnout of the Program Coordinator and an inability for her to continue to do other tasks involved with being a coordinator (program development, etc) 2. + Not increasing numbers will mean the program size stagnates + Not meeting the mission (and AMP) ideal of serving all students within the community; we need Honors to offset the every growing develomental population +Students who are qualified not being identified and offered the opportunity to reach their potentai
