Critical Information, Notes, Justification, Rationale	SUNY Orange Community College’s OTA Program will become the regional center within the tri-state area for continuing professional education courses and workshops for occupational therapy practitioners. The OTA Program, in conjunction with CAPE’s Institute for Health Professions will offer an ongoing series of workshops, non-credit courses and annual conferences enabling health practitioners to obtain required continuing professional education credits (CEUs).
Consequences of this initiative not being funded	Faiure to capitalize on the need for continuing education requirements to maintain professional licensing and certifcation in occupational therapy.

COLLEGE I: To provide courses in the arts, sciences, health professions, humanities, business and technology at the level of Associate degree programs, certificates, training and developmental programs to meet student needs for further education, employment and personal growth. 2: To provide appropriate credit and non-credit programs to satisfy changing Orange County needs and demographics.
COLLEGE X: To expand funding sources of the college through revenue generating initiatives. 2: To continue to develop and submit grant proposals consistent with the mission of the college, and to continue to actively involve faculty and staff in the grants process.
STRATEGIC V: Provide a clear, consistent and compelling presentation of Orange County Community College.
AMP H: Collaboration and Partnerships a: Seek out new opportunities for collaboration and programming such as the Hudson Valley Consortium for Domestic Preparedness, Response and Recovery
AMP H: Collaboration and Partnerships d: Create stronger ties between CAPE and credit departments and programs to develop new non-credit offerings
AMP H: Collaboration and Partnerships e: Develop a formula for resource sharing between CAPE and credit departments to serve as an incentive for building discretionary funds within department budgets
